Refund Policy

How Asteria Quant (a service of Quant Algorithm Tree System Ltd) handles refunds, cancellations, chargebacks, and tax. This policy supplements our Terms of Use; the Terms control in case of conflict.

1. Plain-English summary

Live billing is monthly in advance and non-refundable, except where the law of your country says otherwise — for example, EU/UK consumer rights to a 14-day cooling-off period. You can cancel at any time; access remains until the end of the paid period. We do not refund partial months for losses on a strategy.

EU/UK 14-day cooling-off period

If you are a consumer in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you may have the right to withdraw from a contract for digital services within 14 days of agreeing to it, under EU Directive 2011/83/EU and the UK Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. By starting Live execution within those 14 days you confirm an express request for immediate performance and, where the service has been fully provided, you acknowledge that the right of withdrawal may no longer apply. To exercise the right, email billing@asteriaquant.com within 14 days of your first Live charge with your account email and the words "I want to withdraw".

Other mandatory consumer rights

This Policy does not limit any non-waivable consumer rights you have under the law of your country of residence. Where local law gives you a stronger right, that right applies.

3. How to request a refund

  1. Email billing@asteriaquant.com from the address registered on your account.
  2. Include: subscription id (visible in Settings > Billing), date of charge, amount, and the reason you are requesting a refund.
  3. We respond within 5 business days. If approved, the refund is issued back to the original payment method via our payment processor (Hero Payments). Funds typically arrive within 5–10 business days depending on the method.
  4. If your request is denied, we will explain why in writing. You may then proceed under the dispute process in our Terms.

4. Chargebacks

If you initiate a chargeback with your card issuer or bank before contacting us, your account may be paused for the duration of the dispute. We will share with the processor and your bank all relevant evidence — including signup, consent, Live activation acknowledgement, and usage logs — to respond to the chargeback.

Successful, demonstrably fraudulent chargebacks may result in account suspension under the Terms. We may also recover legitimate costs incurred in defending a chargeback to the extent permitted by law.

5. Manual payment flow (no-processor cases)

Until a card processor is fully wired, certain users pay by bank or crypto transfer with their access opened manually by our operator. For those payments:

Refunds are issued for the amount we received from you minus any non-recoverable processor fees. If VAT, sales tax, or withholding was added to your invoice, the refundable amount is the net you paid for the service.

7. Operator-initiated cancellations

If we suspend or close your account for breach of the Terms (e.g. attempted fraud, sanctions screening hits, identity misrepresentation), no refund is owed for the remainder of the period in which the breach occurred. We may, at our sole discretion, refund part of the unused period if the breach was inadvertent and remediated.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this Refund Policy when our processes change. Material changes will be communicated by email to active subscribers at least 14 days before they take effect.
