๐Ÿš€Product basics

What is Asteria Quant?
Asteria Quant is a strategy catalog and execution control panel. You subscribe to a strategy (Aster Prime, Surge, or Flow), connect trade-only API keys from your exchange, and Asteria runs the strategy on your account. We never take custody of your funds.
How do I get started?
Three steps:
  • Choose a strategy from the catalog
  • Pick an exchange and connect trade-only API keys
  • Pass the activation review before live trading starts
What exchanges are supported?
Asteria supports Binance, Bybit, OKX, Bitget, Gate.io, and KuCoin Futures for strategy setup. Each exchange still needs a trade-only key check before live activation.
Can I run multiple strategies at the same time?
Yes — each subscription manages capital independently inside your exchange account. You see all of them aggregated in your dashboard.

What is the difference between Aster Prime, Surge, and Flow? (And what is Time-Turner?)
Three self-serve products plus one flagship by invitation:
  • Aster Prime — balanced core profile and the default starting point for most users.
  • Aster Surge — more active growth profile for users comfortable with stronger movement.
  • Aster Flow — calmer profile for users who care most about a smoother ride.
  • Time-Turner — private flagship tier for operators who want the calmest path in the family, with access reviewed by request.
How do I get access to Time-Turner?
Time-Turner sits outside the public self-serve catalog. To request access, use the access form and include your name, contact email, and a WhatsApp or Telegram phone number. We reply from the feedback inbox and continue with a short fit-check before access is granted.
Why isn't Time-Turner priced publicly?
Time-Turner includes a manual review, guided onboarding, and a closer support loop than the self-serve products. Pricing is discussed only after we understand the requested setup. If you prefer immediate self-serve pricing, Aster Prime, Aster Surge, and Aster Flow remain public.
Time-Turner shows +67% annualized return — that's lower than Surge's +143%. Why is it the flagship?
"Flagship" on Time-Turner refers to the character of the ride, not just the loudest return number. Surge is the louder growth profile. Time-Turner is for operators who care more about smoothness, drawdown behavior, and a hands-on launch path.
What are close-time strategies?
They are separate connectable strategy records in the same family. Each one uses the family logic with a different UTC daily close, so Surge 00:00 and Surge 01:00 are selected, billed, and connected as different products. This changes the timing sequence without presenting it as a new trading family.
Are these returns realistic in live?
Backtest figures such as annualized return, Sharpe, and max drawdown are computed on historical data. Live results are typically lower than backtests — sometimes materially — with deeper drawdowns. Slippage, fees, exchange downtime, and regime changes all reduce realised return.
Will the same strategy work forever?
No strategy works forever. We monitor live performance vs backtest, retire strategies when alpha decays, and replace them with researched alternatives. Subscribers are notified before any retirement.

๐Ÿ”’Security & custody

Does Asteria hold my funds?
Never. Your funds remain on your exchange account. We only receive trade-only API permission. Withdrawal permission must be disabled — we reject keys that have it enabled.
How are my API keys stored?
API keys are encrypted at rest with Fernet (AES-128-CBC + HMAC-SHA256) using a master key separate from the application database. Every plaintext access is logged in an audit trail. Keys are masked in all UI surfaces.
What if I lose access to my account?
Use the password recovery flow. 2FA can be reset by contacting support after identity verification. Revoking your API key on the exchange immediately stops all Asteria activity on your account, no matter what.
Can Asteria see my balance / trades / history?
Yes — trade-only API permission allows reading account state. We need this to size positions correctly and reconcile open positions. We never share this data with third parties.

๐Ÿ’ณBilling

How does Live pricing work?
Each strategy has its own monthly Live price, usually between $18 and $360/month. Prices are recalculated daily from recent performance, drawdown, activity, and demand. The price you confirm at checkout is locked for that paid month.
Why dynamic strategy pricing?
Strategy capacity is finite. When a strategy is performing well and demand is high, price rises — this slows new subscriptions and protects existing users from capacity dilution. When recent performance softens, price drops. It’s a fair-market mechanism, not a marketing trick.
Can I cancel any time?
Yes. Cancel from the billing page. Your strategy subscription runs until the end of the paid month. Live trading stops at cancellation.
What payment methods?
Credit / debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, AmEx) via our payment processor. Crypto payments will be added once volume justifies the integration.

โš ๏ธRisk

What are the main risks of automated trading?
  • Market risk — markets can be volatile. You can lose a significant portion of capital, including 100% in extreme scenarios.
  • Strategy risk — backtest performance is not guaranteed in live.
  • Execution risk — slippage, partial fills, exchange downtime, API rate limits.
  • Counterparty risk — the exchange itself can fail (FTX, Mt. Gox precedents).
  • Regime risk — market structure can change in ways that invalidate a strategy.
The risk disclaimer is mandatory reading before live activation.
What protections does Asteria have built in?
  • Per-strategy kill switch with configurable drawdown limit
  • Group-level kill switch for multi-strategy bundles
  • Hedge mode for separated long/short accounting
  • Reconciliation: position state cross-checked with exchange continuously
  • Emergency stop button: manual close-all and disarm
  • Duplicate-order protection on retries
Is my live capital insured?
No. Crypto trading does not enjoy government deposit insurance. Your funds are on the exchange — the exchange’s policies apply. We do not custody, do not lend out funds, and have no insurance product for trading losses.
What happens if Asteria itself goes offline?
Open positions remain open on the exchange — we are not in the order path once the order is on the book. The strategy pauses until Asteria is back. You can manually close positions on your exchange at any time, or revoke the API key entirely.
